The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is a leading graduate school of management in Asia. Under the IIM Act of 2017, IIMB is an Institute of National Importance.
IIMB has 104 full-time faculty members, about 1,200 students across various degree-granting programmes and nearly 5,000 annual Executive Education participants.

Our long-duration programmes comprise the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), the Post Graduate Programme in Management – Business Analytics (PGPBA), the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), and the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM). We also offer a PG Diploma programme, the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM), which is a hybrid programme aiming to enhance skills to frame policy, take on leadership roles and raise efficiency through exposure to management principles, for policymakers and public administrators.
We offer the NS Ramaswamy Pre-doctoral (NSR Pre-doc) Fellowship, as a Certificate programme, with the aim of increasing social diversity of management academia in India.
IIM Bangalore accepts both sectional & overall cutoff for admission process. IIM Bangalore cutoff 2024 will be 85 percentile overall and 80 percentile sectional for the general category students. The below table represents the minimum prescribed cutoffs for preparing shortlist of IIM Bangalore:

The admission process of IIMB is done via Common Admission Test (CAT). Students need to clear the minimum cutoff percentile in 3 sections ( VARC, LRDI, QUANT) and also the total. Then IIMB issues interview call for the shortlisted candidates. Followed by which students are called for personal interview a writing assessment test. After the entire procedure a composite score is generated comprising of several factors including - 10th,12th and graduation marks, gender and academic diversity, work experience, CAT score, and interview marks. Finally offers are rolled out to top candidates. I choose IIMB over other B-Schools because of its legacy in education facilities, vast alumni network, and startup incubations.
